What are substitution tags?
Cover documents, Certifications, Limiting Conditions etc.. include a lot of boilerplate language that is repeated from project to project. But there are project specific details that change with each report, such as client name and address, date of inspection, effective date etc. Appraisal Scribe handles these specifics with tags which point to information that you have entered for the project such as the client name and address, date of inspection etc. (Overview). You can insert tags anywhere on any page in the report by clicking on Insert from the toolbar and selecting from the menu including ClientName, ClientAddress, ReportDate, EffectiveDate among others.
In the attached screenshot, the ClientAddress, EffectiveDate, TotalValue and TotalValueAsText and ReportLength, highlighted in yellow, have been added from the drop-down menu. Click on the tags and links to the content will pop up. ReportLength, PropertyCount and the TotalValue of the collection also appear in the menu and the values are automatically calculated.
The second screenshot is of the PDF. Notice the logo, company name and address, client name and address, and that the report length and total value of the collection has been calculated.
